Which Tesla models does VoltKeep support?

Supported Tesla models

VoltKeep talks directly to Tesla's official Fleet Telemetry API, so it runs on every model that supports Fleet Telemetry. Specifically:

• Model 3 — all model years and trims
• Model Y — all model years and trims
• Model S — running a Fleet Telemetry-capable software version
• Model X — running a Fleet Telemetry-capable software version
• Cybertruck — North America focus, Fleet Telemetry supported out of the box

Fleet Telemetry is enabled automatically through Tesla's vehicle software updates, so as long as your car is on a recent firmware version, no extra configuration is needed.

System requirements (iOS)

VoltKeep is a native iOS app that runs on:

• iOS 17.0 or later on iPhone
• An official Tesla account (email and password)
• An internet connection (cellular or Wi-Fi)

Dedicated UIs for iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch are not available yet (planned). There is no Android version.

How VoltKeep connects (official Tesla OAuth)

VoltKeep never receives your Tesla password. It uses Tesla's official OAuth flow to obtain access tokens, which are stored in the iOS Keychain — not on our servers.

Unlike TeslaMate, you don't need to spin up Docker, PostgreSQL, or Grafana. Sign in to Tesla once on first launch and the integration is complete.

Troubleshooting connection issues

• If your Tesla's software is too old and Fleet Telemetry is disabled, run a vehicle software update first.
• If you have multi-factor authentication (MFA) enabled on your Tesla account, sign in once via the official Tesla app, then retry.
• If your region isn't covered by the Fleet API rollout, check Tesla's official list of supported countries.
